The obsproject.com (Open Broadcaster Software Project) now has a Mac application for OSX 10.8 and above, so we thought we would make this video tutorial to walk you through the process of streaming to Twitch using HDPVRCapture, the Open Broadcaster Software application, and the SoundFlower application.
The OBS Mac application makes it easy to stream to Twitch, youTube, DailyMotion and a whole bunch of other streaming services right from your Mac.
It is super easy to setup and allows you to add text to your streams, image overlays or watermarks and supports PIP (picture in picture) which enables you to add your webcam on top of your gameplay streams. They also offer a handy stream settings estimator on their website which helps you get the best stream settings for your current setup.
You can watch our other tutorial videos on how to use the features in HDPVRCapture on our Tutorials page. Alternatively, you can check out our FAQ page for answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding the HDPVRCapture application and how to use it.
As always, We hope you find this tutorial useful.
