HDPVRCapture v2.12.3 is now available for download!

It's March 28th 2012, I'm happy to announce a new release of HDPVRCapture. It's a free upgrade for everyone!

This is mainly a bugfix release for the 2012 Hauppauge HDPVR firmware. I've added some highly experimental support for standard definition aspect ratio control and cleaned up an issue reported in 10.6.8.

This is a highly recommended upgrade for everyone, especially if you have the 2011 or 2012 firmware in your HDPVR.

New HDPVR Firmware fixes MP4 conversion issue

Today, Hauppauge released v1.7.30059 of their HDPVR firmware, available for download here: http://hauppauge.com/site/support/support_hdpvr.html (click on the beta tab). You'll need a windows PC in order to upgrade the firmware in your HDPVR.

Why should you care? I've been tracking an open HDPVR firmware problem since October 2011, I've referred to this as the 2011 firmware issue and it's been causing problems for many user. Details in the FAQ: (http://www.hdpvrcapture.com/cms/?q=node/3#jerky).

Mountain Lion - OSX 10.8

Deep inside Apple's Campus in California, engineers are busy developing the next version of the operating systems, MAC OSX 10.8. code named Mountain Lion, see http://www.apple.com/macosx/mountain-lion/ for more information.

Most likely Apple will release 10.8 for general sale later this year. HDPVRCapture will be modified over the coming weeks to fully support 10.8, so when Apple release Mountain Lion you'll have no compatibility issues.

HDPVRCapture v2.12.1 is now available for download!

It's March 10th 2012, I'm happy to announce a new release of HDPVRCapture.

It's a free upgrade for everyone! In this release I've added two or three small new features which should help new users. I've specifically placed a help button in the main UI, it links to the FAQ at www.hdpvrcapture.com. I've fixed a couple of small but annoying 10.7 sandbox related bugs and added a couple of advanced features for dealing with some AC3 multi-channel audio issues. A small but important set of improvements.

HDPVRCapture v2.11.0 is available for download!

Hauppauge recently released a new firmware for their HDPVR. This version of HDPVRCapture officially support it and all older firmware versions. The changes in v2.11.0 enable the video enhancement controls, changes to the Network Streaming page so VLC can be used for network stream preview, some general bug fixes related to blasting and some minor updates to the user preferences.
